Beat the crowds! Enjoy a relaxing week in one of the birdiest places in America!

Venture to the shores of Lake Erie to experience spring migration in one of America’s best birding locations! This tour is timed to view early migrants the week before the birding festival hits, avoiding the huge crowds that can take some of fun out of birding. This is a great location for photography as many of the birds can be seen at eye level right from the trails and boardwalks.

Birding Magee Marsh and surrounding areas.

In addition to Magee Marsh, there are many other exciting places to visit and bird along the shores of Lake Erie. Local weather conditions will have a big effect on migration, so the best strategy is to be flexible with the daily itinerary. Go where the birds are!

Other nearby locations include Metzger Marsh, Ottawa NWR, Cedar Point NWR, Maumee Bay SP, Cullen Park and the Erie Marsh preserve.

Toledo has a nice variety of restaurants, and we'll sample one each evening as we rejoice over the day's sightings.
